Apex Magazine is a monthly online magazine of science fiction, fantasy, and horror short fiction. The current fiction (and poetry) editor is the award-winning novelist Catherynne M. Valente (Palimpsest, Deathless, The Habitation of the Blessed). Jason Sizemore is the publisher.
Each month we publish two original stories, one reprint, two poems, and one non-fiction article. The current content is available immediately to subscribers and those who purchase the issue. This content is available on the Apex Magazine website for the duration of the month and removed when the next issue is published.
